PS - that catch by the kid, was ridiculous. And from now on, Ryan Williams is a MAN, regardless of his age.

A couple of comments. First did DeBoer import the PAC 12 template for big games to Bama. He coached the UO x2 and Texas games in the same manner. These include “no lead is safe” and “last team with the ball wins” while disregarding “defense is optional”? Second all interceptions are the quarterback’s fault, they get all glory and their passing stats reflect yards after the catch. Third you 100% on target with a sweet interception by the Bama CB to seal the deal.

Dude you are so right. Don't get me started on screens with big YAC counting as QB stats. We've got to work on that somehow. And yeah the young Bama guys seem empowered to play with confidence, not fear.

An interception not attributed to the QB has been a talking point of mine for years! Freedom on definitions of turnovers can be so much more clarifying to statistically align good and bad play.

Similarly, it could be cool to see a "check down" or "no-dice" stat where QBs progress the read due to defensive cover. It helps quantify how shut down a corner truly is.

I also think 'air yards' fir into the same category because a qb throwing screens going for 50 yards didn't do much
