For Penn State and Notre Dame fans, realize my folks are from Missouri, “Show Me State.” Not a joke, if you know where Hayti is, then you know I’m not playing around. Deep cut.

And you showed me.

I love it.

Been waiting since 2012 BCS Title Game to see an ND team bring the fight to one of these SEC teams. Been waiting since Chafie Fields to see Penn State enter the conversation.

Don’t mistake any of that.

My guy, Wayne Cook, mentioned how in this format maybe the bye is not as beneficial as people thought it would be when we talked on College Sports Now. Then throw in the homefield, which Texas absolutely had in the Cotton Bowl, even though Arizona State gave them quite a game.

Shout out to Jai Kumar:

He hit it hard in terms of what could happen, but this is what people asked for and it is what they got.

So, to the point of “Match-Ups Matter”

-Penn State got heavy after 35 minutes
-Notre Dame brought some flavor
-Ohio State realized who they should be
-Texas survived
