The Format: Boise State, My Wife & An All SEC Final Four?

It won't happen but, let's talk about it because Miami could have, maybe, had a loss

I spent Monday evening explaining the playoff to my wife while we watched Jeopardy and whew buddy. She was in a word, appalled. Active sentences from her:

-“So you can be 16 and go to 4 and get a bye?”
-”Wait, they’re in the 20s but they go to 12?”
-”If they’re 2 why do they go to 5?”

Which is the entire point of this and trying to clear up The Format.

Got a chance to talk about this with Ovies & Giglio on Tuesday because it is a thing we have to keep thinking about.

I did not get jury duty. Service Complete for Mr. Felder. I don’t even have to show up today and I’m off for two years. Life proceeds as normal.

Speaking of normal, I decided to normalize my template because I got tired of having to go back in my notes to figure out the bracket:

This is the format based on current rankings. We have had 3 different number ones in the last three weeks, UGA, Texas and now Bama. It won’t end like this, but it is a good exercise to realize what is going to happen. So, let’s get into it.
