TCU Has Got To Have Luck, But Luck Don't Keep You Alive

Plays like this are the difference between a W and L but you can't rely on them

A play like this is an aperitif that helps you get to where you need to go, but you can’t have this as your go to for the night.

This is an amazing play by Abe Camara that helped lead TCU to a national title game, and it is truly a one-man effort. 21 to 6 and a touchdown would have put this at 21-13, or 21-14 with a 2-point. A one score game. Camara saved the day.

The difference between a two-score and a one-score is huge, that changes the possessions dynamic. This play also changed the momentum after a very strong Michigan drive.

They didn’t finish.

This was like getting to the 10th frame in bowling and then throwing a gutter ball. A field goal is points but at that point it was like going to prom with your cousin. All your halftime adjustments got you 3 points, and TCU forced the malfunction; when they were entirely out of position and you had a perfect play called.

TCU, against UGA, has to play a clean game. Hero plays aren’t going to be staples but someone is going to have to make a few because Georgia is a hell of a ball club. We’ll get to some UGA things next but wanted to drop this on a Saturday to get everyone ready for the title game.

Cheers!
