Talking Tiers #1

Let's establish some criteria before we really get into the tiers and who goes where

I will tell y’all this right now, this is not about mentioning teams.

This is about establishing a criteria for things that have mattered in college football for decades and then fitting teams into slots.

First, the tiers:

Tier 1: If you’re not competing for the national championship you are in disaster mode and/or dealing with major injury issues

Tier 2: You could be a contender but it seems like you’re a piece away be it QB, WR, Pass rush or maybe just a smart coach

Tier 3: You’re a wildcard; as likely to go 6-6 as 8-5 but maybe, just maybe 10-2 and get into this expanded playoff

Tier 4: New coach, if you can afford it, trying to turn roster over, if you can afford it, and hope
