Favorite Safeties For 2025 Draft

I had a nightmare and woke up and realized that I do have to flex

I had a dream, not like Martin Luther King Jr., just a dream where I was doing a TV spot and they asked me about the safeties for the NFL Draft this year.

I couldn’t come up with any names.

It was mortifying. To the point where I woke up and went through my notes and was like, “Oh you do know these guys, WHEW!” I was paralyzed in my sleep at the idea of not knowing the position I played, the position I love and know better than any other on the field.

Whew.

So, because of that, I do have to flex with my favorites. Not all first rounders, but this is a deep safety draft and there are a lot of guys to talk about. Nick Emmanwori has already been hit on and I hope they keep him in a sort of Kam Chancellor role instead of converting him to linebacker.

Yet, there are a gang of other guys who should come off the board in the first two days:

For me, they’re all good, my favorites are Emmanwori who we already talked about, then Mickens, Clark, Ransom and Reed.

So let’s talk about them, no order just some thoughts.
