4 Hard Downs: Ravioli, Spin, Blue Sky & More
Regulate, No Need To Debate, Kill Me If You Locate Me and Remembering Delocated
Do you guys remember this show?
I used to watch it every night, DVR’d it and would just watch the hell out of it all the time. Comedy galore and laughs for days.
If you haven’t seen it, this is a show about basically a moron who is in witness protection, hence the mask and voice modulator, but is still out and about. That’s it. That’s the show and all the hilarious things he does, while trying not to die.
Football light, now that we hit the offseason, but I’m doing a Bleacher Report Draft Show on the 20th, so tune in. Let’s go ahead and SPOT THE BALL!!!
1st Down: Made Some Ravioli
Fresh made and hand rolled semolina pasta
1.5 cups semolina pasta
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tbs olive oil
2 tsp water
Fresh ground beef with garlic, onions and mixed with ricotta stuffed into this these nice rolled out pasta.

Boiled and then toasted

Set on a cream sauce and drizzled with said cream sauce over the top

That’s dinner
2nd Down: Back At It Again In Spin
I go to spin class again. 5:45 on President’s Day your boy was one of TWO people in the class getting a good sweat in.
The thing I love about going to my Y, is in the cycle studio they have fans I can turn on just for me and the people next to me.
The thing I don’t love?
I don’t know if my spin shoes from my peloton will work on the bikes at the Y and honestly, I am too scared to look like a loser to try them out. I never look like I don’t know what I’m doing. If I get in there and I’m trying to see if it works or I need different cleats, that’s not me buddy.
Will I ask for help?
Fuck no.
So I just wear shoes and use the straps. I’m so good at everything else at the Y:
-Using a locker
-Setting up my locker
-Locking my locker and having a fail safe (I have a spare key in my water bottle in case I forget my normal key that is on a lanyard, brilliant, I know)
-Soap and taking a shower, including shower shoes
-Change of clothes always packed plus my towel and washcloth
I can do all this stuff, I just don’t know if my shoes will work with the bike. Maybe I should just call in.
3rd Down: Arguing On Blue Sky Instead Of Twitter
People, apparently did not like when I said this:
I basically get called an idiot for a pretty measured, and if you know me, normal take about home games vs road games as a major part of my life.
I don’t like going places. I don’t like spending the night places. I get upset when someone has a thing that’s not over by early afternoon. I don’t want to go to a hotel, especially with another person. My wife hates traveling with me because I’ve spent so much of my life traveling alone that I have a routine that doesn’t involve another person.
So, to go back to the song, if I met a sexy as hell dame from a broken down car, not a street walker, she can come to my house and I have all my stuff, including my bathroom the next day.
To me that’s just science.
Honestly, probably why I’m good at being married. Every game is a home game when you and your wife live together and don’t have to go anywhere.
And if the point, which seemed like the pushback from most people was that it could be a setup. Fine. There’s nothing to take in this house. A laptop I have insurance on. My stand mixer (which I already have a back up for thanks to my mom not using hers). What are you gonna do? Get an 85” TV into your car vertically because if you lay it down it will never work again, oh and I won’t wake up? C’mon folks.
4th Down: And Of Course Football!
Most of this has been lifestyle so let’s get back to basics. I was scrolling on IG and came across this Clay Matthews, a guy who played with one of my best friends in Green Bay:
I love it. Tells matter so much. Then because I’m in Charlotte folks are upset that Luke Kuechly is not a first ballot hall of famer, even though he handled it swimmingly.
It is crazy that he isn’t a first ballot guy.
We love Ray Lewis. We Love Brian Urlacher. We Love Derrick Brooks. We can go into the annals of history for other linebackers we love. Luke is one that belongs with all of these names.
Watching him at BC was amazing. He’s not just special athletically (a thing we don’t mention nearly enough), he’s cerebral and the definition of a leader. Moving guys around and alerting guys to what’s about to happen is what made me fall in love with football and not many did it better than home.
Ready for him to that Gold Jacket next year!
Hope y’all agree. Now I’m out for a weighted run/walk and tomorrow we talk “Thanksgiving Initiative” because if you don’t cook turkey all year, how can you be good at it on one day.
Simply put, Champions Are Built In The Offseason
Cheers!!!
