4 Hard Downs: Manicotti, Smart Football, Michigan in the NFL Draft
I love two Wolverines, football players are smart and stuffed manicotti
Y’all, I hit the ground running today so let’s just go ahead and:
SPOT THE BALL!!!
1st Down: My Wife Is German But Italian Food Is Her Love Language
Dinner on a Sunday Night:

I used my normal pasta recipe:
1.5c semolina flour
.5tsp salt
2 eggs at room temp
Both olive oil and water to get to feel
Give it an hour and then get your pin out and roll it.
Homemade beef sausage with Anaheim peppers, garlic, onion, chili powder, S&P. So it is a little spicy but mostly just good flavor. Then add in the ricotta and mozzarella cheese and mix.
Roll your stuffed pasta for the wraps
Sauce them, put the mozz on top with some parm and bake covered at 350 for 45 minutes. Then I do 5 minutes of broil, pull them and shred parm on top.
And you get the dirty look of the inside of a good meal. A meal my wife said, “I have to stop because I could eat way more of this and I just shouldn’t.”
Good food.
2nd Down: How Do You Password?
We had a few moments between Spectrum, Prime, Paramount Plus+, Netflix, MAX, AppleTV+ Disney+ over like multiple devices from 3 different iPads, 2 laptops and a SmartTV; not recognizing passwords when the power and/or internet goes out and you have to re-login.
Yes, I know this is a privilege to have multiple devices and services.
Now, I am spending this week to build a spreadsheet with current passwords. Don’t talk to me about “Password Keeper” because I get a message everyday that it is expiring as an app.
I want to have it. I want to have it shared as a google sheet with my wife. I also want a physical printed out copy both upstairs and downstairs; that includes the WiFi info as well.
I am also going to print the WiFi password out for the “home wifi” so no one asks me for it.
I am not going to print out my secret WiFi that I use when Spectrum craps out.
How do you wifi and password in life?
3rd Down: Football Is Smart Shit
Every time I come across things like this on IG, I am going to try to post them.
This isn’t just smart, it is science. This is R&D. This is studying and recognizing not just tendencies but also answering a question. Research is the studying. Development is the solution.
Football is science.
This is a two-fold situation:
First, we can all recognize that these guys are not dumb. They are thinking about this game on a level that most folks have never even approached. It is their job.
Second, beautiful explanation of seeing the issue earlier in the season and playoffs and realizing that is where to hit for the kill.
The hand drop, the inability to combat power, the use of lift to generate a bigger issue and more power.
Sure, you have to be a very talented dude to do it, but you also have to do the work and work with people to be able to make this idea a reality.
That’s what I love about football. You get it from Jalyx Hunt here. We’ve seen it come down from both sides like Jameis Winston, Luke Kuechly, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Peyton Manning obviously. However, the Hunt breakdown is great because he’s not some instant hall of famer or the face of the team. He’s a guy doing his job.
And he did it well and better than most people on the planet would even think to do.
4th Down: I’ve Got 2 Michigan Guys In My Top 10
Mason Graham and Will Johnson should be, at minimum, Top 10 picks.
Look, my wife will not like this because she went to Michigan State (that’s why I hid it at the very bottom of the post that she won’t read all the way through). I am doing this at my own peril.
Will Johnson, when healthy is every bit as effective as Travis Hunter and he won’t make your fanbase or coaching staff feel like, “We need to play him at WR some.” He won’t ask to play WR. He’s just a corner.
Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.
Mason Graham is a part of this revolution that begins, in my mind, with Grady Jarrett. A little shorter. Shorter arms. But stocky and forceful with tremendous suddenous to his game that allows for guys like Christian Wilkins and Ed Oliver to be successful. Great technique and ability to get after it.
I’m fully enamored by both players. Let’s go.
I want to do some more drawing for NFL Draft content, but figured I’d show you the raw and talk more about it. You all know I loved Mike Sainristil a year ago and all he did was be a major playmaker for the Commanders.
I also think I’m going to go back through some of my draft content and hit on the misses, a thing most people don’t do. Just to figure out how I was wrong and why I missed on them. Probably have some guests on the pod to talk about it.
Combine starts Thursday. I cannot wait. These guys are going after their dream job and I love it for them.
Cheers!!!
I read it all the way through. Go green 💚 K
