Staying The Course To Hit The Mark

It a few days after Christmas. 4 days after my 10th Wedding Anniversary. Not even going to waste your time with a big lead in because the playoff doesn’t go until next week, this is about real life; let’s just SPOT THE BALL!!!

1st Down: Wedding Anniversary Went Swimmingly

10 years on the 23rd. A kid. A house. A career. Another career.

We’re in this shit dog.

Stayed at the hotel we stayed at for our wedding night and went to Ruth’s Chris, where we had our reception back in 2014.

2nd Down: Your Boy Is Out Here Baking

Rolls. Banana Bread. Loaves.

Banana Bread. Amish White. Butter Roll. Not pictured the hot dog buns

You name it, I got it.

Sent my mom home with some prime rib and a roll to make a sandwich.

3rd Down: My Cousin Is Here!!

Not just cousin. COUSINS.

We spent 4 years in Chicago alone. Now we are back and better than ever.

4th Down: Plane Is Landed

This is coming out two days after Christmas and I did not ruin it.

For those who are new, in 2022 I ruined Christmas like I was Harrison Ford landing on a golf course piloting his own plane. We got home from Christmas dinner and I said, “This is a holiday for idiots” and my wife did not like that. Guess what, almost didn’t do it, this year. I thought it but between scheduling, seeing my cousin and her family plus my mom and dad, I did land the plane. It was bumpy, but everyone got out ok.

My kid got her weighted keyboard plus a bench that can store her music books and is in love with it.

They unwrapped gifts in matching pajamas.

Christmas went well.

As for me?

I have been breaking down the holiday season, which I’m not enamored with, by days.

Then I realized we also have about as much time until the second round. 12/31 is the next time we kickoff a playoff game. 12/20 until 12/26 was my home stretch of holiday shit.

So the college season is also very interested in gaining the Christmas treatment from ya boy.
