I’m not making Thanksgiving dinner this year. Greg will likely still be in the hospital, either still in the ICU or in a regular room if he’s doing well enough. A neighbor might invite me over, but I won’t hold my breath. I’ll order some dishes from the Feast & Fettle Thanksgiving menu. It won’t be half as good as Greg’s turkey, but he’s getting better (moving his head and hands and arms today!) and with any grace next year he’ll be cooking up a storm. 🙏🏻
Let us now praise home-made. I put down some veggie stock this past weekend since grrrl #2 is coming home for Thanksgiving and asked for soup. Strained out six quarts, then added more water and got two more quarts that'll be good for a potato soup. We got friends coming for Thanksgiving and we'll have the pot running that night for Haleem the next day. "You want a leg or a wing? Cool. The bones go here when you're done. Got it?"
Still trying to wrap my head around the coaching changes we already have with more undoubtedly coming. Gonna be a damn interesting ride.
